Wicked job!
Haha, you kept my rambling at the end, that's hilarious! Thanks for putting this song together, it's always a pleasure to drop a few bars!
Ya dude, that rambling was hilarious. Glad to work with you. We have to do it again sometime, if only just to prove I don't always take several months to get my act together haha
Phukya
When the vocals came in I was feeling a Portishead vibe and loving it. I thought the drums stood out a big though, they felt a bit rigid compared to everything else. A great track though, you're definitly starting to carve a wicked style of your own.
I'll have to check em out. Thanks :)
Beautiful piano
Good job with the sampling, that sounds beautiful. Im not a big fan of the drums you used though, they sound to synthesized when placed over that piano (mainly the snare was buggin me I believe). Regardless, Im diggin the track. Thank you for supplying me with ear-joy :)
Where's the guitar from?
Man, you're at the point we're I can see people digging and buying your album readily. The full track is solid, I'm loving the scratching the the background. You've got 5s, 10s, and a request for a hard copy of the album, haha.
thankthankthankthankthanks!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!
I like it
I'm feeling A Tribe Called Quest thing going on, and the Rhodes sound snazzy. I like, I like :)
On a random note, I see in your profile you're diggin wefunk.com. They operate out of CKUT, McGills radiostation, and thats where I go to school. I'm thinking of dropping in sometime just to say hay-lo, as they do a damn good job with the station.
Wow thats awesome as hell man, I love wefunkradio. They do freestyles on the air sometimes, you should go on and do some haha.
chill
I'm content just letting this loop for a while. Sounds great :)
I like your cheese too
You are awesome. This latest a cappella wave of yours is amazing, Im loving it!

Wicked
Audio wise this thing sounds professional. Mixing, mastering, the beat, the singing on the hook, everything sounds prime. My only comments now go to the writing itself. There's a lot of interesting lines to listen to, but what I'm finding a bit lacking is unity in subject matter. I've read through it a few times and I'm still not sure what happened on the 10th of November other than that some girl left somehow. I think you'll find a lot more power will come from what you write if you bring a bit more focus in it. You don't need a linear story or anything like that, but just tie it all together a bit more. I think that's kinda what I'm trying to say... haha
Regardless, it's a beautiful tune. The kind of thing I would download and listen to. You guys are on my list of people I would like to make a tune with sometime. I'll be back with ideas sometime in the near future.
Wonderful review and I do appreciate all the comments you've made towards this track. As for the writing, you're right but at the same time we find it interesting to see how the audience interprets our tracks. Our lyrics are vague in the sense that we aren't exactly direct with what we're trying to get across but the general theme of this track is Lost Love, simple as that.
The 10th of November is a general date all on it's own. The 10th of November just represents any day or month of the year depending on the person as well since there are plenty of people out there that have lost someone important to them but the date varies. We stuck with 10th of November because it's the original title of the instrumental but in reality, it represents any day and month for anyone.
Another reason to keep this track as mysterious as it is, is because Love itself is very mysterious, the word is just used to describe the feeling but no one can actually tell you what it actually is or what it feels like, only you can decide that for yourself, at least in my opinion. Again, thanks for taking the time to review this track and for the criticism. Stay up.
One of my favorites
This song has personality, gears are turning about Eddie in my head, haha. The piano and the guitar in the beginning are perfect, and most of it stays at about that level. My only complaint is the fade out! Make an ending!
