It is time for the NGHH competition to finally come to an end. The MC's have battled through four fierce rounds and anxiously await the results of the final battle. There are some damn good rhymesayers on this website and it has been a pleasure to listen in. I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did, and I expect to see you all return next year for the next Newgrounds Hip Hop Competition!
The last battle was difficult to judge. There are people aggresively arguing both sides, illustrating just how competent each MC was. The official NGHH judges were also on the fence, and the winner only snuck by with two extra votes. DJ-Delinquent chose to relinquish his judgement on this round due to his bias for KOA. In my opinion this was a very fair thing to do and I respect that he chose to do it. The other judges votes are in.

Thank you everyone for your participation, the turn out of this competition has been excellent! It hasn't been perfect, but on the whole I'm quite happy with how this has turned out. So kudos to you, the NG hip hop community, for pulling shit together! Muchos thanks to the participants, judges, and viewers!
This NGHH Competition is going to happen again. I'm not sure when, but you can count on it happening! If you ever have any ideas regarding the next one please don't hesitate to contact me! For now, PEACE NG hip hop folk!

I'm a very reserved person. I don't usually say what I'm thinking and only speak freely to poems. I don't show my music to people I know in real life. They've never seen this darker side of me and it feels weird to show it.
What I love about hip hop shines true with this song by Grieves. I could have written that song, word for word about my brother. It's so relieving to know that I'm not alone in this world. That is what I want to do with hip hop: connect souls. At the moment, the sole purpose of writing my music is to speak and connect with other people. If you ever really feel something of mine you hear, let me know. It will make my day.
The end is near for the first ever Newgrounds Hip Hop Competition! We've got four of our MC Knock Out tracks up on the front page and loads of tracks coming in. The art is coming a little bit slower, but that will change quickly.

NGHH Art Competition
In the end winning submissions will be showcased in a flash, which will need some gangsta art to make it look less boring. The theme is 80's hip hop, so think maaad bling and Will Smith wearing pink and green!

I just wrote a play for a 24 hour theatre festivals. I slept two hours and managed to get just under 15 pages written, woohoo! I won't post the whole thing, but I will post some lines of rap I wrote for the play. This is from around the middle of the play. Let me know what you think!
I don't have million dollar clothes or millions of fans,
And I still drive to gigs in my mom's mini-van.
I don't own platinum, don't even know what it is,
And a grill will only happen if the pope gives my butt a kiss.
Ladies don't seem to flock to my cock like they're supposed to,
And I'm opposed to rapping about things I only see on movie shows dude.
I do not own a gat, or a gun, or a bat.
I will not hunt you down going brap brap brap.
I have a job as a mechanic, because my music doesn't pay.
And I usually panic as soon as I trot upon the stage.
And I do know depression, and I have felt loss,
I have not learned a lesson every time I fell off.
And even though I'm not black life ain't been no crystal stair,
So don't call me wack because of my utmost skin layer.
What I don't get is how all of these sheeple blindly take it in,
Putting the money in the pockets of artistic villains.
It makes me sick to see these actors on the tv,
Pretending to represent the art that means so fucking much to me.
So fuck grindin up in a club, gold chains, and fuck cars,
Fuck light shows, fuck clothing lines, fuck being a movie star.
Hip hop is my muse, my vice, and my life.
And before I sell out I'll stick myself with a knife.
Cause this is my passion and I'll preach it like a pastor.
Cause I am a poet, and not an actor.
I've decided to release a compilation of some of my better songs. Kudos to NG producers Haywyre, freddyfinger, war-spawn, YunVeroz, NielsB, and EternalXIII for giving me some wicked music to blab over, and Grimcredible for hopping on The Road. All of the songs are on Newgrounds to download and listen to as well. Here's a picture of me as a child for you to stare at while you listen to the music.
If you haven't listened to any of my tunes before I would recommend starting with Mr. Jones. Post a comment here and let me know your favorite track!
