In case y'all are wondering, a full sentence is one bar, the end rhyming word in the next sentence (depending on how you spit) is the second bar. So, in essence, 16 should be 16 lines on a piece of paper.

I can edit the post here, whereas in the forums once I've posted something it's there for good unless a mod deletes the whole post. Once all of the first round tracks are in I'm going to make a forum post for that.
I cut the crew battle cause there was only one submission last year, and that makes for a dull comp. We should be making crew tracks regardless!

I thought the same thing, I ended up recording double time apparently, I was asked to cut my track in half, which put me at around 21 seconds instead of the 42 i originally recorded.
Just saying, for the most part BRed had the "seconds" correct.
And on Murdaa's track, 42 seconds is the end of his bars, minus the 20.5 second intro, his 16 bars would roughly fall around 21 or 22 lol.
42 - 20.5 = 21.5
Also... My 16 bars in lyrics fit perfectly to BRed's timing on that track, so... yeah...
Oh well...

I just got back from school and I have some free time. I'ma try to get it up within the hour.
Also, my main goal is for everyone to understand the rules so they can submit a verse that is the same size as specified Meta-discussions on the topic could confuse someone reading things over, which is why I'd rather they happen elsewhere. For the next round I might make a separate post in the forum where y'all can discuss whatever you want. Then I'll keep my news post for official news, rules, and pertinent questions.
For those of you who make it to the next round, you can expect longer verses. I wanted short ones for the first round mainly for voting. Getting enough people to vote on the 16 submissions is going to difficult, and the longer they are the more work it requires. When there are less submissions in a round verses can be longer.
